The sinking of the maine

Originally America blamed the sinking of the Maine on the Spanish. America had tensions between spain so in a way they where looking for a reason to go to war with them, so we did. Many years later  when we pulled up the main from the ocean floor we studied it, we found that the spanish did not blow up the spain and that it was from inside the ship… Some cons of the ship blowing up are that america had to spend a lot of money, because war is expensive.  What really sunk the ship was hot coal that got really hot and heated up some ammo reserves, and blew up. fortunately the war was not very long, and not to many people died.
