Upton Singclair

          Upton Singclair he was a famous writer in the early 1900's. he was born in 1878, and lived to be 86 and died in 1968. He wrote almost 100 different books, many where series and many where singles. some of his most famous books where, The jungle,  and muckraking. He was not only famous for his writing but for revealing unsatitary and unsafe conditions in the meat packing conditions The Time magazine called him "a man with every gift except humor and silence." He won many prized including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.  He also started many acts like the meat inspection act of 1919. In his life he inspired many people and along the way helped many people as well.
